Acupuncture is an alternative treatment which can be used for pain relief as well as to stimulate the immune systems and the body’s own healing. While acupuncture is not suitable for all pets or to treat all conditions, we can assess your pet for this alternative method. We use acupuncture for pain relief, immune system stimulation and also to help with certain chronic diseases. Acupuncture might also be recommended for some pets where conventional medicine may have side effects that will negatively impact the treatment of the illness or injury
What is acupuncture used for?
Acupuncture is recommended as a primary treatment or a complimentary treatment for issues such as osteoarthritis, back and spine issues, joint and soft tissue injury, cystitis, bowel and digestive issues, skin disease, bladder problems and more. We will assess your pet and will advise if acupuncture can be used as an alternative to medication or as an addition to conventional treatments to improve the outcome for your pet.
