About us:

Herriot House Veterinary Surgery currently have a permanent position available for a Veterinary Associate. We are a well-established clinic in the heart of Toowoomba that have been servicing Toowoomba’s pets for over 30 years.

We pride ourselves on offering our clients a high standard of care for their pets with digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound and internal pathology available as well as external pathology with fast turnaround for results.

The role:

There is an interesting and diverse medical, surgical and reproductive case load and we have cultivated great local referral relationships.

If you are the successful candidate for this role, you’ll be entering into a supportive environment where learning is valued, and personal and professional diversity is celebrated. We have a talented team of vets, nurses and receptionists and love to collaborate in clinic and encourage referral when needed.

• Generous yearly CPD allowance and 1-week paid study leave per annum.
• Spacious consult rooms.
• Separate designated surgical suite, imaging, and dental procedure areas to allow for more than one procedure at a time.
• We operate Mon-Fri 7:30am-6pm and Sat 8am-4pm with NO after-hours or on-call.
• Closed on Sunday’s and Public Holiday’s.

What we are looking for:

• BVSc Qualification (or equivalent) and full registration to practice in Queensland.
• 2+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary clinic.
• Ability to manage a caseload and follow through on cases.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• A commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care to a high standard.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
